I believe that the enemy wishes for us to just get bogged down in the minutia of life or "things". When he does this we imperceptibly move slightly from the direction that He desires for our life. That slight movement over time becomes HUGE much like a ship setting off from England trying to get to New York City. If the captain goes off course even by a tenth of a degree, he will end up hundreds of miles off course by the end by virtue of not staying true to the direction need to achieve the goal or as you said it- the DESTINY. Wanting to do the things that are the "better things" rather than just making it through the day. Living intentionally ... making choices congruent with my understandings of Him and faith. Praying about how we are His inheritance (???) destined to be revealed when His glory is revealed. Praying about "storing up treasures in heaven." Praying about being in His "new city"and knowing His "new name." Wow. What a destiny He must have for us!! I have the same sense growing in my heart and spirit.
