For the past three years, Joseph Gudel and I have been writing a rock opera called The Twelve. It’s basically about transformation. The 12 Disciples went through a dramatic change; they were transformed from cowards into martyrs. This rock opera is all about that transformation.
It’s a beast of a work. It’s just about two hours of straight music (that’s why it took so long to write!) with a wide variety of musical styles.
I’ve had the recording itch again recently. But there’s something about having a baby that redirects time and money. I’m definitely not complaining, being a Dad is absolutely amazing…I’m loving every minute of it. But I can’t escape my itch.
So I’ve been doing some late night home recording lately and I’m really excited about it. It’s ambient instrumental music. If things keep going as well as they have been with it, I’ll probably release the tracks as an album. I’ll keep you updated.
Dave has recently released his 3rd full album, “Priceless Treasure”. Combining classic (priceless) hymns with fresh, new sounds & choruses, this CD is a collision of Ancient & Modern.
