Thanks for sharing. Listening is an important part of worship – even if we don’t always sense God speaking to us. God said He would teach His people. How come we seldom ask for His instruction?

aw this was a real blessing. I have been stuggling to know if the thoughts I get are from God. Things like what you have just shared. I agree with you. If we listen to God in the small things this will train us for the bigger things. Problem is I feel i have been stuck in my head wondering if some of my thoughts are from God or not. I know God doesnt want this either! But yeah, how you described it as a random thought is cool. Exactly the same as me! Thanks for the encouragement! God is good

Not only God’s voice but so many other areas of God on display we allow ourselves to be educated away from. Why would God say something like “I will never leave you or forsake you” and then never speak? Eli’s counsel to Samuel “Speak Lord, for your servant is listening” is still great advice.

That ’still, small voice’ from God is often hard to hear and, even when heard can be easy to ignore. What a blessing it is to be able to recognize and acknowledge the voice of God and his grace and mercies. ‘Tis a habit that requires cultivation.
